The quilts of your grandmothers can wait until after Christmas. I made my dad a log cabin quilt for BD and Fathers day combined the year my mother passed away. It really meant something to him, even though my mother didn't quilt. He is gone now so I have it. It will go to my son later. I know your dad will cherish the quilt, because of the love that will go into it.

It's too bad we all don't live near each other and could get together and have a great big quilting session, maybe have sort of a group like automotive assembly lines with some doing cutting for all, others binding, pinning sandwiching, etc. That would really be great.
