I am going to do another class. This time I will show you how to make a Bear's Paw using my cut down method. The purpose is to make it more accurate so you don't lose any points and to make the paws the same size easier. Every time I would make them they would be just a little bit differant in size when I got each paw done. So this way you can make sure they match easily.

I will show you how to make a checkbook cover using this method and if anyone is interested I can show you how to make the bookmark or coin purse with the Bear's Paw. The checkbook cover could also be used to make an eyeglass case.

You can use any size template you want and use my cut down method to make any size quilt block. But this is primarily designed to make the small version easier to do. For the checkbook cover and the coin purse you will use a 1/4" template. You can use a 1 1/2" but since we will use the cut down method this will be more leftovers than anyone would probably prefer. But if you have a 1 1/2" and want to use it feel free to do so.

If you need a 1 1/4" template to follow along please email me at [email protected] or pm me by clicking on my name and then clicking on pm under my avatar. You will then be able to leave me a message.

I would like to see you sign up mostly because it helps me to know how many are interested. I enjoy giving the classes and doing the tutorials but it helps to have the feedback to know if I am doing what people want to see. So if you have any feedback good or bad please I want to hear it. It makes me uncertain when I don't get any comments. The negative helps me improve so don't hesitate to let me know.

I will post the first class on Fri Nov 19. That way I can have time to get the templates I ordered for this and have time to get them to people.

The first class will show you how to make the Bear's Paw quilt block
The second class I will show you how to put together the checkbook cover.
The third class I will show you how to make the bookmark that is if anyone is interested.
And the fourth one I will show you how to make it into a coin purse.

I am sure we will have lots of fun with this one!!

Here is a checkbook I made using the Bear's Paw and a coin purse I made and a Bookmark. Something for you to think about. I promise you it isn't as hard to do the smaller stuff as it may seem.
