There is a supplement called Hyaluronic Acid. It replaces the fluid in your joints to relieve things like tennis elbow. There are different combinations and the link below will give you a good idea of different brands and formulas.

Also, from the same site, you can search for Turmeric. It is just a spice, but I take it in capsule form and it is great for inflammation. I take it daily.

I would try both before agreeing to surgery. I think they are a wonderful combination.
