I was very busy, so I sent my DH to the Singer store, writing down the model, etc. when he returned, no belt. when questioned, he said the man would be by in a couple of hours. "man", I don't need a man to change the belt. He just laughed. When the "man" came, he brought me a new 401 Singer, with all the attachments. I still have the machine, it still works great, all the discs and attachments still working. my DH passed away in 1989 from cancer, but the memories are still good.
