Howdy do:
I am an "expatriot" from Vermont. Some of my ancestors were the first settlers of Vermont, having settled in North Shrewsbury, North Clarendon, and Rutland before 1750. I grew up in Brattleboro. My husband and I, not being able to find a Vermont location in need of a pediatrician, at the time we were looking for a place to set up a practice, settled in far northern Maine, where I have been ever since.
I know that you enjoy living in Vermont. I visit the Shelburn Museum whenever I can, and thoroughly enjoy those excursions. Last summer I was able to attend the Vermont Quilt Slhow in Essex Jct., and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Quilting was very much a part of every day life when I was a youngster, and it is truly grand to see the resurgence of interest in a most rewarding activity. It offers so many a grand mode of artistic expression unequalled in any other artistic media. So very satisfying.
