I like to think of my quilts as comfort quilts. They aren't perfect, never will be, but they will keep the people I give them to comfortably warm. Don't be hard on yourself. Each of us are our own worse critic. Keep doing what makes you happy and those that you give them to will be happy, too. A quilt is a gift from the heart.
