That's good to know. I have (and really like) a Brother QC 1000 sewing machine, but I really don't want to upgrade to a Brother combo sewing embroidery. Not because I don't like Brother, I do, but I would be losing money on the 1000 so I might as well go for embroidery only.
I'm glad to hear how happy your sister is with Janome after also using Brother. The 350e sounds like it could be a good addition to my collection :).
