I spent the last couple of years sitting and feeling sorry for myself. Kids only come over for the day and you don't see them the rest of the season. This year I have invitied friends over for almost every day from the 19th to the 31st. Some coming for dinner, some drinks and snacks, some just to play cards. There are lots of people out there who are just as alone as the rest of us. You just have to find them. It is hard trying to adjust our lives when our kids are grown...how did our parents do it? Oh yeah,,,,we included them in everything we did, so they didn't have to feel lonely!!!
