Hi Sandpat

No I did it all by just following the circles - as you have to keep switching diretions at each intersection as the circles go on in rows so you sew them down in like a long winding snake pattern sort of and then the little short sides before you add on the next row.

I have the regular open toe embroidery foot on when I do it just so I can see what I am doing. It is top stitched down - not overcast on the edge - does that make sense?? I tried the blanket stitch like the pattern called for but I did not like it, it might look ok done by hand - but its faster by machine!

I do not yet have the Walking foot for my Machine - it is the Husqvarna 950E Platinum and the Walking foot is about 120.00 dollars here in Canada and I keep spending my money on fabric but I do want it - it would have made those qulits a little easier
I saw that circle attachment at the dealers - seemed pretty cool too..
