I was 5 or 6. I was playing with a little red sewing machine. I was positioning fabric under the needle when my little brother turned the wheel and drove the needle right down through the middle of my fingernail. The neighbor heard me screaming. She came over and pulled my hand away from the machine. The needle broke off inside my finger. Had to go to the hospital to have it removed.
