I'd sew many of my clothes and those of my children in the 70's and 80's. Then full time employment and other things got in the way. Early this fall a friend showed me some quilts she had made and I just said to myself I want to make a quilt to hang in front of the hideous door to the furnace/ac at the end of the hall! With no more thought than that I bought a pattern, material, etc.! I proceeded to complete the quilt top and used a long arm at the shop to quilt it! Phew! It now hangs over the ugly door and my hallway looks great. I have now finished the top to a quilt for my granddaughter! Soon to be quilting that and starting on quilt #3 for another granddaughter! (Oh, there were the 30+ fancy pillowcases and 3 tabletoppers I made for Xmas presents too.) Ya think I'm hooked? Even with a full time job...there seems to be time to quilt. I need to get pictures...
