I am relieved to say that not one of my kids or nieces or nephews or great nieces/nephews are into any of the morbid or the darkside, etc, etc. They are actually a bit appalled by it, but, having been brought up in this "tolerant environment of recent years", they acknowledge that everyone can wear or sew what they want. I personally, will not be wasting time on skulls, morbid, the dark side, or anything else that is remotely grizzly. (Even on Halloween, I draw the line at certain points). I am also proud to say, that my kids (now mid 20's and graduated from college, with good jobs, and good attitudes), have also resisted the self mutilation of body/face piercings, excessive tatoos (they have none). With the exception of the earlobes. They absolutely love and appreciate handwork. Whether it is sewing, painting, sculpture, carpentry, or whatever. Some young people don't want to except the following reality, but here it is anyway.....Unless you are looking to be employed by one of your own peers (or be forever unemployed,,,,,,don't go to interviews with excessive and/or bizarre tatoos/body piercings. Or, GFB, clothes with skulls+scissors all over the fabric. I walk right on by these fabrics which I consider grotesque.
