I did a little research and it was sold by Sears in the early to mid 70's. It is a solid well-made piece of furniture. The table folds up, the doors close and it looks like a regular cabinet. It came with a Singer Futura II that worked for awhile but then gave up and quit working. I enquired about repairing it but they wanted too much money. My favorite part was all the trims, scissors, elastic, Velcro, button, gadgets, etc. The original owner's name was in a box, "Nora". By the looks of a little note I found in there, and some other things, she probably passed away about ten years ago and her family donated it recently. I love sewing at it because everything is so handy and I can close it all up easily when I need to. I was so happy to find it and I suspect Nora would be happy to know it's in the hands of a very appreciative quilter.
