I haven't made one for a charity yet, but once I get my DD's pieced and I start quilting (hand) it I have some planned in my head to make lap quilts for a nursing home and some baby quilts for an organization that helps pregnant women who need help. I also would like to make one for a soldier and a women's shelter. I'm not sure how long it will be before they are a reality, but when I get to it those are some of my ambitions. In this weather when I hear about a family having a fire and losing everything, I think how wonderful it would be to be able give them a quilt.
