I've given lots of stuff away on Freecycle. I've met people in a grocery store parking lot, but usually just it in on my front porch behind a column so that it isn't seen from the street. Surprising what people will pick up. Hubby has wanted to trash stuff and I say, wait, let me offer it on freecycle first and he is amazed that people want what he was going to throw away.

I've not received much cuz people usually see and reply to the Offers before I do, tho I did receive 2 large trash bags full of great fabric about 3 years ago.
I've seen working sewing machines offered quite often, quilt supplies, fabrics etc. You can always post something that you want, but you have to have posted Offers, 2 times first after joining, I think.
