Maybe this is something everyone knows already but the easiest way to rip a out a seam is to rip every 5th-6th stitch then pull the bobbin thread and all (or most) will come out.

Also a tip, have a practice sandwich to test quilt before doing the actual quilting then you'll catch problems such as this before you start.
