I love purple and have used it- in small doses in my homes. I had a beautiful wisteria wallpaper in my kitchen in my house in Florida, did my guest bath with an iris shower curtain and purple towels. I did not use purple on walls, furniture or any large areas. Went to sell the house and guess what- the lady who bought it was a purple addict! She painted the entire interior purple! I saw it and wanted to cry. As much as I love purple, it is not a color to go overboard with! Now I live in the mountains in a much more rustic setting. There are still purple items here and there, but I keep it very small. For example, my dining room area rug is black with fall leaves on it. A few are purple! So, my advice is to use purple, but confine it to small areas. (except for my first quilt I finished a few months ago- purple and green and covering the wall above my bed!)
