Congratulations to your DH - a true craftsman! What beautiful furniture ... my Father used to make me beautiful things in timber when he was alive - lots quilting related :) Mum always managed to get one of each that I 'ordered' as well :) Her quilting group all claimed Dad for their own as well ... they used to visit him in his shed and give him many many order to fill. So sad that this wonderful Man is no longer around to visit in his shed - he dwells forever in my heart ... still miss him so very much ... Here's a beautiful piece of writing that I'd like to share with you. I saw it entered in a handwriting competition many years ago ... "Things men have made with wakened hands and put soft life into, are awake though years with transferred touch, and go on glowing for long years - and for this reason, some old things are lovely, warm still with the life of skillful men who made them."
