I use Pinmoors. They are small foam type buds. The idea is that you pin your sandwich together with long pins and pierce the pinmoor on to the sharp end. You then quilt your sandwich and you are able to sew over the pins without having to remove them first as you would with normal quilting pins. I found the Pinmoors on this site some time ago.
