Look up the salaries the top CEO at Goodwill makes, also their district managers and then you will know why they charge so much. I don't feel a charity should be in it for the money. Salvation Army CEO makes a pittance compared to Goodwill and I see all kinds of things they do. Like homeless shelters, women's shelters, centers for kids, helping persons with rent, etc. Just check out the local thrift stores, bigger towns have some real good ones.
