That quilt is an inspiration. I too have to get to grips with feathers. Did a class with Philippa Naylor when she came to our Jersey 'Caesarea Quilt Club' so was able to get some first hand knowledge and experience actually getting the fabric in the machine and trying it for myself. Had fun and enjoy it but I find everytime I go back to do the quilting I have to practice a fair bit - I am obviously not doing it frequently enough for it to come out as I want it every time.
The Double Irish chain is a really good design to help practice quilting on. Thanks for sharing.
