All machines have their plus side and minus side (that's why I have 4). My advice would be to decide which is best to suit your style of quilting and test drive it before taking it home. If you are going to do a lot of free motion quilting on it, I suggest you go for one with a large throat - it makes a lot of difference.Next would be how easy is it to use and maintain. I personally use my Brother straight stitcher with a 9" throat, which cost me $2,000.00, more often than my $10,000.00 Pfaff.
