Yes, Milleroch... great ideas on the teaching methods...same goes with their art work..."Tell me about your picture."

As cute as the fabric is, there is a gray line between the generations who "knew" Dick and Jane and the recent generations who learned with Sesame Street, Electric Co., "Big Books", and without phonics, etc.

Some will have NO idea who D&J are. I think the nostalgic fabric is for a specific generation... many who are now on Medicare!

Of course there was nothing wrong with D&J unless you figure in the stereotypical figures and jobs, etc. It was a slice of life (not all lives) of the times. That reading "method" and many, many great teachers, taught millions of kids to read.

Okay... I'm off my soapbox... back to the sewing machine...
