Since your furnishings are fairly neutral I think you could use anything you liked. I have painted every room in my house. I chose colors I have always liked and toned them down with a greyish undertone. It is really amazing how comfortable I am in every one of the rooms. I really believe colors are very personal and the colors that speak to you will best suit.
