We also have light carpets and dark brown furniture. We've done the mid-green, the "naked barbie" and now a beautiful sky blue, and so far I have to say this one is my favorite! I'm addicted to painting so who knows how long it will last, but I love how fresh it looks against my white trim and window treatments.
When we've picked colors in the past, the ones we've liked the best are typically ones we've matched to a piece of fabric, or the matting in a picture frame, or in one case a perfume sample box -- things we already had and loved. Just something to think about.
