Very interesting...the color wheel is a great tool...but that is what it is...a tool...I rarely use one when deciding colors for a quilt. I just go with what is pleasing to me. Sometimes after I pick out the colors if I were to get a color wheel out, I can find out what combination of colors I picked out in relationship to the wheel. I think some people do have a good sense of color, and others do really struggle with putting colors together, so a color wheel can help know what color combinations work and why they do.
