I love frogs too. I have a triple bowl fountain in my garden, and the bottom bowl is about 4 feet across and the frogs love to gather there in the spring. As soon as I hear the frogs start to croak, I go out and make sure the fountain is running. This year I was a little late, they were in there before I got the pump running. I also have a black pond on my patio that is supposed to go in the ground, but I just put plants in front of the sides and have a water feature in it and water flowers. They were in there this year too, as well as my other bowl fountain.
I went out there last night to listen to them and I swear, it sounded like I lived in a swamp or rain forest. I love it. But I learned years ago, they come to the sound of water. I heard a frog last year on the other side of the fence so I hurried and got the pond ready and in less than 45 minutes, that frog was in that fountain.
What I want to know is, do frogs come back to where they hatched and grew into frogs??
