I find my LQS is the worst in this way. They don't go a thread over 1 yard and then if it isn't perfectly straight, you don't get the entire yard. There is another quilt shop where the people give a generous yard and I find I go there more often. That's also why I also shop online as many online are generous too. At Joann's after getting less than what I wanted I told the girl that I needed a full 1/2 yard for my project and she cut it so that I had the full 1/2 yard. You shouldn't have to ask!!!
