Nope! It came that way. I picked up the cabinet for my Singer 201k since I thought the 201 would look striking sitting in a straight-leg cabinet. The machine that came with this cabinet is my Singer RAF 15-90 that sits on my shelf. Well, the 201 didn't stay in that cabinet very long. I didn't like the feel or sound of the straight-leg treadle with the 201, too noisy. Then I picked up my National Two Spools and my DH changed out the front plate for the Two Spools to sit in the cabinet. Most of the time I don't do too much in refurbishing the cabinets. Some of the history is there that I would like to keep, just don't want to mess with it either, unless the cabinet needs a good cleaning. Here is a picture of the top now.
