I bought one a few years ago and if you have a very small throat on your machine you still have to undo everything and roll it every 3" or so. I gave it away. Now I have a new machine with a 10" throat and love it and FMQ on it. I too will never be able to afford a long arm. Our LQS rents time on one but I have never tried it.
