Hopefully we can go to her friends in the next couple of days so I can test drive hers.. my mom is just so excited i have a hobby realated to the one she loves. She said i need the proper machine and she knows i am short on cash. She is doing yet another generous thing for me.

Too bad you don't already have a good working machine, with Mother's Day coming up you could make her a special Mother's Day quilt or wall hanging. I wish my Mother were still liveing, because I would already have made her more than one special quilts. However, she passed away over 20 yrs. ago and I wasn't really into quilting that much when she was living. Too busy working and getting two ready for college. I miss her so much even today. We were such close friends as well.
