I was born in 1939, so my memories are more from the 40's. However we still had the feedsacks. I can remember my mom making daddy's shorts (underwear) from them. Many were used for cup towels. Some made into curtains and other household decorations and yes we did get clothes made from them also. The women would trade with each other to get enough of one pattern to make their project. My grandmother would help my mom get the amount needed and vise versa. They were really good times. Familys were closer than they are today and everyone helped everyone. At least that is the way it was in our families. Thanks for the memories.
