I quilted all large quilts in sections, until I ran into one that couldn't be done in sections. It was 93 x 104. I used the John Flynn frame (for the first and only time) to baste it with water soluble thread, then I was able to quilt it (fairly dense FMQ) on my Bernina. After that I got a longarm. I never want to tackle something that large on my DSM again. I know that many people are able to do beautiful quilting that way, and I admire their skill.
