I made my first quilt 43 years ago but I've had many breaks over the years due to work schedules. Then my grandkids came along and I made quilts, crib bumpers and doll quilts. Then I was drawn to wholecloth wall hangings. I took a sabatical for knitting preemie hats in the late 90's until arthritis attacked my wrists and fell back into quilting in 2006 and have been making charity quilts for children in crisis. We volunteers fill quilt closets for our area of the state and the quilts go to kids ages birth through teens who are in: hospitals, CPS custody or have had loss of homes because of fire or death of a parent.

All my fabric comes from donated remnants from yard sales, online donation sites, Goodwill etc. If anyone has remnants they want to get rid of I'll pay postage if you'd like to donate them to a good cause. Now I'm a widow on Social security and can't afford to by much yardage unless it's really marked down but I love making scrap quilts for kids who really love receiving something of their very own... Sorry for rembling on... :-D :-D :-D
