I used "Jewel-It" to glue plastic battens to drapery fabric for Roman Shades I made. It seems to be holding up fine. I bought it at either Hobby Lobby or Michaels. The brand is Aleene's.
I've used this. For extra measure I coated the embellisment (encased) it with the glue.
