I just wanted to let you know that I mailed 24- 12 1/2" blocks plus a flat rate envelope in a flat rate envelope for another swap. They all fit in it. I folded 12 blocks in half one way and 12 going the opposite way. They were in a zip lock bag, but I did not close the zip lock bag. The post man said the post office just needed to be sure the envelope closed the regular way, even if some tape was used. I am not going against what red garnett said. So do what she said. I just wanted to give you this information.

I have 8 blocks cut and pinned. When I get 12 done, I will probably do some more sets. But, I want to get 12 done first. I want to be in on the Christmas swap also. Thank you Patrice and Red Garnett.

I have a question. I am appliquing a block that has a bat and a moon with a witchon a broom in it. The moon and witch are small. Is there any type of stabilizer that you can iron on both sides to make a small piece stick to both fabrics? This looks really cute the way I have done it. I cut a small witch out of a piece of fabric that I have. I do not know if I can make a small
enough applique stitch with the sewing machine. I am new to applique. Also, is it ok to embellish the bat eyes with buttons?
All the blocks I have seen are applique. Do they all have to be applique or embroidered?
