Oh, I think even putting it on the outside bottom of the pot, cut to size, will keep pots from scratching a tabletop etc. Great idea .. I usually use felt dots.
For the bottom of inside plant pots to keep water flowing while keeping dirt from running out, I've been using coffee filters for a number of years.
