Just a caution. I know nothing about that type of surgery in Mexico, but I do know that a friend of my daughter was at a luxury resort for a family wedding somewhere in Mexico where rich people go and she was walking on the beach and her leg just plain broke. They rushed her to the local hospital and a supposed orthopod did a very expensive surgery on her leg and they had to pre-pay with a credit card before they would do the surgery. They had to hire a van to drive her back to PA and she saw her local Dr. for after-surgery care. He didn't like the looks of it but kept an eye on it and it was not healing right. They eventually had to take her to a specialist in Pittsburgh, who did many x-rays and found that the rod they had inserted was not only misplaced but not even connected on one end and had damaged the bone badly. Of course, they had to make arrangements to later re-do the surgery and try to take out the damage and re-do the whole thing. She was recovering and going to therapy for many months. I know this is long, but I just wanted you to know how badly things can go, even if you are in an area where rich people are medically treated and still, bad things can happen. Do your research well.
