Add me to the treadle club. I was in 4th grade and sewed large 4-patch quilt squares using my grandmother's machine which had become my mother's when gran died (before I was born). The Singer treadle was a wedding gift from my grandfather to my grandmother about 1916-17.
My mother used the treadle more than her electric machine. It still runs but my legs are too long for the treadle! Our 12-year old granddaughter has discoverd the joy of sewing (no thanks to me as she is living far from Wisconsin). Hoping I can someday pass this family treasure on to her and that she will appreciate it.
