I want the quilt to drape over the sides enough to cover about 1" of the top of the box spring on each side and the end. I have no problem figuring yardage needed. I remeasured and want the quilt to be 85 X 96 after quilted and bound.
It well a little, so I would make one the the borders little bigger, like a inch.
I ment to say also that it depends on how dense you are going to quilt. I just finished a quilt and it lost 1 1/2" but I quilt pretty dense
