My thinking at this moment is that this is an error in the book.
The quilt looks like the Alice Brooks/Wheeler patterns as they were very complex. They were advertised in womens magazines and newspapers. It would make sense then that it would be called Alice's Favorite if it was an Alice Brooks pattern but not that it was published by Mrs. Danner. The Ragged Robin thing doesnt make sense either. That one is one of Mrs. Danners patterns, but does not resemble this pattern.. another mistake in the book, I am thinking.

I have a huge collection of clippings from the newpaper of Books/Wheeler patterns. Since you had to buy the patterns, many people clipped the pictures and drafted the patterns themselves.

Since the Brooks/Wheeler patterns were so complex, there are not an abundance of examples of actual quilts made from them. I buy them up when I find them.

Great quilt top you have..take care of it.
