Love your quilt and, drool, fabric.
A gal friend of mine just came back from a 5 day retreat and the big thing now are flanges. Just and 1 &1/2 of fabric folded to "contain" the quilt, then the borders are added. Lay fold toward inside or body of quilt and sew down. This is a $600 tip!
By adding a flange, you can create separation then use the fabrics you have left over or add new fabrics for borders. I had thought flanges would all be darker but just saw a quilt at a show and it had one of the lightest colors in the quilt!
