Try leaving your feed dogs UP. I read where sometimes a machine doesn't like having the feed dogs dropped and they do much better if they are up even though the machine has the ability to drop them. In another thread this subject came up and the person who tried it said it did help. Just a thought.
I've started to do FMQ with the feed dogs up and get much better results - and it's almost eliminated birds nests. Always worth trying if you're having problems.
