Relax a bit luv!
It is not as bad as you think...Try washing the purple by itself, with the retayn because it looks like it may have been crowded, and balled up, so that the second time the retayn can get all over it. You sure can't hurt it. ...and then if it is still mottled, tell everybody it is expensive french with special processing!
because you are going to cut it up to bits anyway!
