I know how some attachments get to thrift stores without machines. My grandmother never sewed, even though her mother was a seamstress and milliner. My grandmother bought my mother her sewing machine as a wedding present. A wonderful Singer 15-91 in a cabinet. She also gave her a box full of attachments. Fast forward to 6 years ago and my mother gives me the machine and the box of attachments. I was having a wonderful time with the book, machine and various attachments. But that box of extras my grandmother bought I was not able to attach to the machine. I tried everything, finally called my mom, asked her if she ever used them and she said she was not able to get them to work, but kept them because she thought it didn't hurt to keep them. So I looked closer they all had a "W" on them, checked the internet and found they were for another brand all together. My mom and I had a good laugh over it and I gave the the attachments to the local thrift store.
