I agree with those who say to finish it as it is, maybe a narrow border or even just some binding? It appears that she had a wonky look on purpose.
Several years ago I finshed 3 quilts for a woman my husband knew at work. Her twin sister had passed away leaving 2 teenagers & her parents. I never knew her so didn't know what she had in mind & she was a beginning quilter. I just used the finished blocks as they were, didn't add anything except backing & batting. The family loved them.
