Whoa! Sorry this happened to you. Have you heard back from them yet? I would be concerned about bedbugs, which can live without feeding for six months. The other people that posted about them are correct, heat will kill them.
I've been visiting the bedbug registry before I travel, infested hotels are listed, but now they are found in stores (while shopping for clothes) and the movie theater and everywhere.
