My first one 45mm is a Tri-sharp. 60mm one is a Colonial. I've had no trouble with either. I've never had a nick in a blade. What are you girls doing, running over pins??
Here in Australia 45mm blades are around $13.00 each and 60mm about $20.00 - $30.00. With the sharpeners I find you do need to apply some pressure.
