It's putting the right sides together and stitching almost all the way around. Then with the little space that is left, at least 6 inches I'm told you reach in and flip it right side out and sew the opening closed.
But I think the general consensus is to birth it and tie it, but I might SID because of the little knots and fingers getting stuck in it. Didn't think of that, thanks!!
Thanks for the birthing definition-- never heard of that term- but now it makes complete sense for the stitch and turn it inside out method and much easier to say!
Back to the question at hand-- SITD then can't you bind on the fleece or how about the store bought wide binding- 'silky' kind. My daughter loved the feel of that--can see her now sucking her thumb with the 'slippery' between her fingers.
