I think that butterflies appliqued on it would actually make me like it more, but I don't know how to applique. I've only been quilting 2 years....plus, this isn't really my quilt. The easiest way would be to take a piece of your butterfly fabric & iron it onto some Wonderunder or something like it,(Wonderunder is actually too heavy, see if you can find something lighter.) Then you cut some butterfly's out. Take the paper off & iron these where you want 'em. Then you use either the buttonhole stitch or satin stitch to go around 'em. You could cut some out & scatter 'em around to see how they look. You could also try some out on a sample to see how you like doing it. Whatever you decide this is still a pretty quilt.
